With easy access by rail and road, Naperville is an ideal day trip destination from Chicago or for a longer stay in Chicagoland.

Naperville provides a perfect family outing, whether your exploring the city's past at the Naper Settlment or enjoying a picnic along the famous riverwalk. In the Summer the Centenial beach becomes a family favorite, while in the winter the downtown lights and Hometown Holidays celebrations fuel the holiday fun.

Naperville's most popular attractions include the Naper Settlement museum, the interactive Dupage Childrens' Museum and the Naperville Carillon.

With over 250 restaurants and everything from family dinning to award winning cuisine, its no surprise that Naperville is becoming one of the hottest dining spots outside of Chicago.

The center of the city's dining scene is in Downtown Naperville, where Japanese, Italian, traditional American, Indian, Mexican and Malaysian restaurants are all within walking distance of each other, and within easy reach of ample parking.

Outside of the city center, the largest cluster of restaurants can be found along the Route 59 Shopping corrdior, where you'll find family favorites, friendly diners and Hotel Arista's Sugar Toad restaurant.

Naperville's choice of hotels, which includes everything from family run guest houses to luxury hotel and spa resorts, all have great access to I-88 and are within easy reach of downtown Naperville.

Contact the Naperville Visitor Bureau for hotel room availability and further accommodation information.

Thousands of visitors head to Naperville throughout the year for some of Chicagoland's most popular annual events; including the food lovers' favorite, Ribfest; the Labor Day weekend celebration, the Last Fling, and the Hometown Holidays celebrations in Winter.

In addition hundreds of smaller, community events are held throughout the Naperville area.

Naperville's main shopping areas are in downtown Naperville, and along the Route 59 corridor - where you'll also find over 200 stores in the Fox Valley Shopping Mall.

Keep an eye out for special weekends such as Girls Weekend and the Summer Sizzler Sidewalk Special for some great discounts and offers.

Naperville's downtown area is pedestrian friendly and with the recent opening of a new car park deck, there is plenty of free parking available. Public transport is limited, although Pace Bus do run a regular service linking downtown Naperville with the Fox Valley Mall.
