Member FAQs

MEETINGS

Q – What is the difference between Business After Hours and a Business After Hours Showcase.
A – We offer Business After Hours Showcases on a quarterly basis. Think of it as a Mini Expo held at the same time as the traditional Business After Hours event. It is an opportunity for our Members to host a Display Table ($150) featuring their marketing materials during the two hour event.

Q – Can more than one business associate from my company attend Business After Hours?
A – Absolutely. This is a great opportunity to network with fellow Chamber Members.

Q – I have been a Member for years, am I still eligible to attend a Membership Success Orientation?
A – Absolutely. You may appreciate it now more than ever. It is a great way to meet New Members and be sure you are getting the most from your membership benefits and opportunities.

Q – How many TEAM (together everyone achieves more lead team group) meetings can I attend before joining?
A – You are welcome to attend up to two TEAM meetings before making the decision to join and to confirm that there is not a “compete” business already on the Team.

Q – Which color name tag do I choose when attending Chamber functions?
A – We ask all New Members or guests that are attending an event for the first time to wear a “yellow” name tag. Our Ambassadors and Chamber Members like to know that this is a special day for you.

REGISTRATION

Q - Do I need to register for every event I attend?
A – Yes for most but not in all cases. The exception would be our Legislative and Business After Hours events do not require reservations. The majority of our events encourage reservations even if there is no fee. On our online Calendar of Events, you will see a “register” button to click.

Q - How do I register online to attend an event?
A – The most convenient way is to log onto the “Members Only” section by clicking on the link in the top bar of our website. If you do not know your password, click the link below the login fields that says “click here for personal login information”. When you do, it asks for your email address. If the system recognizes the email, it will automatically send credentials. If not, it will say “no valid login was found for the email you provided”. Call one of our Member Services Coordinators (355-4141) to update your contact information and request your password information.
ALTERNATIVES: Register through our main page “Calendar of Events” (no password is required but you may miss some Members Only specials). You can also stop by the Chamber’s Front Desk or call our main phone number and ask one of our Member Services Coordinators to personally register you or share your logon information.

Q – If I do not see a “cost” but there is a “registration” button, how do I coordinate reservations?
A - Proceed as if you are paying and continue to follow the “prompt” buttons for registration. There are many instances where we will be serving a continental breakfast and/or will be preparing materials and to adequately serve, appreciate reservations. This is true for our monthly Members Success Orientation.

Q – If I have not registered in advance for an event, may I still come and pay at the door?
A – Absolutely. We understand that you may be able to attend at the last minute and allow for walk in registrations. Only in rare cases, such as if an event is “sold out”, would we not allow walk in guests.

Q – Do you offer Chamber events that are free to Members?
A – Absolutely. Our monthly Ambassador Committee, Women In Business Committee, Business Advisory Committee meeting, Business After Hours, just to highlight a few. Check our calendar!
