Join Mayor A. George Pradel as he looks back at the events of 2009 and focuses on the opportunities and challenges the City has going into 2010 during his 15th annual State of the City address. The General Membership Luncheon, sponsored by Harris N.A., begins at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, January 25 at the Holiday Inn Select, 1801 N. Naper Boulevard.
This luncheon is one of the most popular and best attended events of the year and sells out fast. To ensure your seat at the luncheon, register early here or call the Chamber at (630) 355-4141. This is the only way to guarantee your reserved seat.
The Mayor’s address will focus on the initiatives and priorities the City has in meeting residents and businesses’ needs during these difficult economic times.
“We are very pleased to continue the tradition of hosting the Mayor for a State of the City Address, and this will be one of the most important in recent memory given the challenges the City is facing,” said Chamber President & CEO, John Schmitt.
Mayor A. George Pradel is a long-time resident of Naperville and attended what is now Naperville Central High School. Joining the Naperville Police Department in 1966, he spent much of his career visiting schools and speaking to children as "Officer Friendly." In 1977, he was asked to be the first teacher at Naperville's Safety Town. Being elected Mayor in 1995, George Pradel continues to be a friend to the Chamber with his continuous support and participates in cutting the ribbon at Member Ribbon Cuttings throughout the year.
The luncheon is open to the public and costs $25 for Chamber Members and $35 for non-Members. For more information on Chamber events contact Lisa Livingston at (630) 544-3365.
Please note in your calendars that General Membership Luncheons, which occur on the fourth Monday of the month, will be held at the Holiday Inn Select for 2010.
