The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications to fill positions on the Board of Directors that will become vacant at the end of 2010. You may nominate any Member in good standing (even yourself) by filling out a nomination form (accessible at http://naper.cc/11brdnmn).

Serving on the Chamber’s Board of Directors is an opportunity to give back to the Chamber and business community. The Board is ultimately responsible for the Chamber by providing strategic vision and direction to the Chamber's staff and the Board is responsible for approving the Chamber's initiatives and positions. The Board is not responsible for the daily operations of the Chamber, but instead direct the work of the Chamber’s staff. There are currently 27 members of the Board.

Return the form to President & CEO John Schmitt or Board Chairman John Puscheck by fax at (630) 544-3371 or mail at 55 South Main Street, Suite 351, Naperville, IL 60540 by 5:00 p.m., August 1. All information submitted will be held in the strictest confidence.

The Nominating Committee will review the credentials of each nominee and will conduct interviews with the top candidates with an eye on determining a final slate by Monday, September 6.

Mr. Puscheck will then formally submit the slate of nominees in writing to the Membership and the formal election will take place at the General Membership Luncheon on Monday, October 25. The new Directors will begin serving their three-year terms on January 1, 2011 and will be introduced officially at the Inaugural Ball later that month.
