Matthew Macomber now a Prepress Certified Professional

NAPERVILLE, IL, July 1, 2010—Kent and Julie Phillips, owners of Sir Speedy in Naperville, are pleased to announce that Matthew Macomber has received the Sir Speedy Prepress Certified Professional designation. Macomber, a graduate of Columbia College of Chicago, recently joined Sir Speedy as a Lead Graphic Designer. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts/Graphic Design.

The Sir Speedy Employee Development Certification Program is a curriculum that strives to increase an employee’s skills and overall professionalism gaining recognition for achievement throughout the Sir Speedy network and industry. In addition to specific coursework, which is required for certification consideration, all candidates must successfully pass all related tests before earning the certified professional designation.

The certification program for prepress professionals covers topics such as: printing processes, traditional and electronic prepress, production workflow, electronic document workflow, preflighting, font management and data protection. Advanced topics include scanning, color management, variable data printing, working with Acrobat Professional and additional plug-ins, and Microsoft Publisher.
