Year’s Top Ambassadors Honored at Annual Ambassador Rally

The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors Committee held its third successful Ambassador Rally Thursday in downtown Naperville and recognized the year’s top Ambassadors.

The Ambassadors give out three awards each year: Ambassador of the Year, given to the Ambassador with the most points; Rookie Ambassador of the Year, recognizing the most active Ambassador in their first year of membership on the committee; and Goodwill Ambassador of the Year, awarded to the Ambassador who provides the best hospitality and helpfulness. This year’s winners are:

• Mike Cooper, Sales Kitchen, Ambassador of the Year
• Sue Vilim, Tech Cloud Now Inc., Rookie Ambassador of the Year
• Tracey Cowart, Coward Chiropractic, Goodwill Ambassador of the Year

“These Members have gone above and beyond the call of duty and each have given their time, talents and support to their fellow business owners and Members,” said John Schmitt, president & CEO of the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce. “Mike, Sue and Tracey are excellent examples of the network of great relationships you can build by offering a helping hand and listening ear to your fellow business owners. On behalf of everyone at the Chamber, congratulations and thank you to our Ambassadors of the Year and the entire Ambassadors Committee.”

The Ambassador Rally is an annual committee event that serves to thank the Members who donate their time and resources to volunteer. The event features a scavenger hunt through downtown Naperville and concludes with a reception where the annual awards recipients are named.

The Members of the Ambassadors Committee provide hospitality and support to Chamber Members and mentor new Members as well. The Ambassadors are the official hosts of the Chamber at all events and assume leadership roles at the more than 60 ribbon cuttings held annually.
