A Little Chamber Reorganization: Membership Department Changes

Over the past several weeks there has been a little reorganization at the Chamber’s membership department and we wanted to share this news with you. As always, you are valued Members and are the lifeblood of our organization. We hope that you will work with any of our membership team to help you achieve your success.

The New Hire:
There is a new face at the Chamber, Rachel Grundner, who has joined the Chamber as an account executive in January. Rachel became involved in the Chamber during her time at Sullivan’s Steakhouse and immediately began to understand the value of using her membership status to establish effective business relationships.

“As a Member I witnessed the power of the Chamber in helping build relationships and helping generate new business,” says Grundner. “Naperville is my home and I am passionate about helping Members use the Chamber to grow, prosper and make our community even stronger.”

Rachel will gladly accept any leads for new members or talk with Members about advertising, marketing, sponsorship and engagement strategies. She can be contacted at 630-544-3378 or at rgrundner@naperville.net.

Rachel is a graduate of Westwood College and Neuqua Valley High School. She and her husband Steven live in Naperville and are active in numerous civic organizations.

The Promotion:
Susan Crotty has been promoted to the position of senior account executive. Before joining the sales team, Susan was a residential greeter – a very valuable marketing resource offered to Chamber Members – for several years. In a previous career, Susan was an advertising executive, helping large companies direct and place their advertising and marketing investments.

“The Chamber is a virtually endless source of marketing, networking and community exposure,” says Crotty. “I want to help all our Members harness the power of Chamber membership and develop an effective and proactive strategy to help them achieve their marketing goals.”

In addition to her responsibilities at the Chamber and raising her family, Susan serves Naperville’s businesses, families, students and taxpayers on the Naperville Community Unit School District 203 Board of Education. She can be reached at 630-544-3379 or at scrotty@naperville.net.

Susan lives with her husband Ed in Naperville and is the proud mother of three teenagers.

The Departure:
After two and a half years, Barry Poll, vice president of sales and marketing, has moved on to a new professional opportunity. During his time at the Chamber, Barry helped Members take advantage of advertising, marketing and sponsorship opportunities, as well as overseeing the Chamber’s sales team.

“I want to thank Barry for his work at the Chamber and his efforts to help stabilize and grow our membership base,” said John Schmitt, president & CEO. “There is tremendous positive momentum in our membership and that is partly due to Barry’s contributions, organization and customer focus.”

Barry will remain an active Member of the Chamber and you are likely to see him at upcoming events.
