Congressional Briefing Series, Thursday, Sept. 13 with Former Rep. Bill Foster

The Legislative Committee invites all Members to attend the next session in our Congressional Briefing Series with former Representative Bill Foster, Thursday, September 13. Foster is running for election in the 11th Congressional District, which is considered one of the most competitive in Illinois. The district encompasses several communities including Naperville.

The Special Legislative Committee Luncheon will take place from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. at White Eagle Golf Club, 3400 Club Dr., Naperville, 60540. A full lunch will be served prior to the program. Foster will deliver prepared remarks and then take questions from the audience.

The special luncheon is just $15. Pre-registration is requested and can be made online by clicking here or by calling the Chamber at 630-355-4141.

β€œThe Chamber and our Legislative Committee are a source of education for Members and the community. We look forward to an informative discussion with Mr. Foster and encourage Members to attend,” said Tami Andrew, interim president & CEO of the Chamber.

Prior to his public service Foster had a successful career as a physics scientist, including a long stint at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory and as an entrepreneur. At the age of 19 he and his brother founded a manufacturing company that has gone on to achieve great commercial success and now supplies nearly half of the theater lighting used in the country.

Part of the Chamber's mission is to educate Members about the policies being enacted that impact the business environment and connect you with your elected leaders. This luncheon is an opportunity for you to interact with and get to better know one of the candidates seeking to represent you in the U.S. House of Representatives.
