Alert to Members Regarding Electric Bill Phone Calls

The City of Naperville has asked for all business customers to please be advised of possible fraudulent activity in regard to utility accounts. It has been reported that customers are receiving calls requesting payment, even if the account is current. The caller announces themselves as being with the electric company and must receive money or service will be disconnected.

Please note, this is NOT the City of Naperville making these phone calls. In the event a call is necessary to address a past-due electric bill, customers are informed that the caller is from the City of Naperville, not the ‘electric company.’ In addition, the City of Naperville should appear on the caller ID screen along with a (630) 420-6059 telephone number.
