The Women in Business committee meets once a month to organize the programming for each WIB Breakfast. The Breakfasts occur the first Wednesday of the month at various locations. Please check the Calendar of Events for the most up-to-date information. Reservations for the breakfasts are appreciated.

Women Who Inspire
Is there a woman you know who has inspired you? Are you in awe of the accomplishments of someone? It could be a specific accomplishment as relates to their business endeavors or through philanthropic efforts. It could be this individual has overcome significant obstacles to become successful in her career. If there is someone you would like to nominate for the Women in Business "Women Who Inspire" Award, download the nomination form and submit it to the Chamber. Please be sure to obtain permission of the individual before submitting. The successful nominee will be recognized at the Women in Business breakfast.  

Women Who Inspire Recipients

Cathy Packer and Teresa Ryan - Ryan Hill Realty, pictured with Kate Sullivan - O'Malley & Associates and Jennie Gates - Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce (Honored in May 2008) Ryan Hill Realty   "Both Cathy and Teresa have been heavily involved with rebuilding efforts after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. Earlier this year Cathy traveled with other volunteers to Pass Christian Mississippi, to work on the house currently being built by Naperville Responds; and as owner of Ryan Hill Realty, Teresa matched donations made by realtors and a presented a check for $38,000 to assist with the rebuilding efforts. But it’s not all about money, it takes time and it takes dedication, and these two ladies are making a difference."

Karen Garlough - My Chef Catering, pictured with Kate Sullivan - O'Malley & Associates, and Mary Schur, Allstate. (Honored in June 2008) My Chef Catering "Karen is the successful owner of My Chef Catering, which was named Small Business of the Year by the US Chamber of Commerce in 2007, and she has also been a leader in the financial success of a grassroots organization, Naperville CARES, whose mission is to provide assistance to help people avoid homelessness.  Karen Garlough truly is a woman who inspires."
