The proposed relocation of Navistar's headquarters to the vacant East Lucent Campus in Lisle, will bring 800 - 1000 new jobs to Illinois, keep several thousand jobs in our region and help foster economic recovery through a $100 million investment in the campus. Special Luncheon with Olympic Gold Medalist Evan Lysacek
In honor of Naperville’s 2010 U.S. Olympic Gold Medalist Evan Lysacek, the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce will be holding a special luncheon at White Eagle Golf Club in Naperville. On behalf of the 1,700 Members of the Chamber, Mayor A. George Pradel and the City of Naperville, you are cordially invited to attend.

Earth Day Breakfast with Dr. Bruce Piasecki
The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce’s Green Leadership Council is delighted to announce that Dr. Bruce Piasecki, a leading expert on the triple bottom line; people, planet and profit will be speaking during a breakfast event on Earth Day, April 22, 2010. Piasecki has counseled dozens of multi-national companies for the last 20 years. His clients include HP, Warren Buffett’s Shaw Industries, Toyota and more, on how to succeed in a carbon and capital constrained world.

Yesterday, the House of Representatives voted 219 - 212 to enact the omnibus healthcare reform legislation. The debate surrounding the healthcare reform bill and the legislation's impact on your business is an example of why the business community needs to be at the table as your officials create, amend and debate legislation and regulation that will impact the future of the economy and your business' competitiveness. Your voice needs to be heard, and there is no better advocate for the business community than you! South TEAM "Adopt an Agency"
The "Adopt an Agency" idea emerged from the Leadership Roundtable discussions in late fall. As most Team and Committee members would acknowledge, time spent together outside of regularly scheduled meetings tends to deepen the connections borne in those twice monthly meetings. We wanted to participate in something both meaningful and lasting to supplement our regular schedule and occasional evening social. To that end, we decided to seek out a non-profit with which to develop a partnership.
