From the Desk of John Schmitt
Spring is a time of nature’s rebirth; a season of change where we say farewell to the harsh winter weather. I feel confident that we can officially talk about welcoming spring, since they are getting ready to start baseball season.
As we say goodbye to winter, we also need to say goodbye to the difficulties caused by the recession. There is no doubt that it is still a tough climate for our businesses. Unemployment remains problematically high. There is great regulatory uncertainty about the environment going into the future. However, we as the business community must shed the weight of the recession and be prepared to take advantage of the opportunity economic recovery will bring.
