The Speakers Bureau is pleased to offer Chamber Members a series of informative training sessions to help you improve your public speaking skills. Each session will focus on one element of delivering an outstanding presentation.
The next program in this yearlong series of training sessions, Performance Skills, Anxiety and Courage, will be held Wednesday, July 11, from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m., in the Chamber's Conference Room A, Suite 351 in the Main Street Promenade.
Strong content is not enough to create a great presentation. It also takes a confident, controlled, persuasive performance from the speaker. Having a game-plan and techniques for your public speaking can make an enormous difference in your confidence and performance. Together, they will help you find your voice and become a more dynamic speaker.
In this next installment, Keith Kelly, Innovative Communications, and Erin Patti, The Doepel Retirement Planning Group of Raymond James, will offer their methods to overcome anxiety and deliver an exciting and engaging performance. They will also give pointers to help improve presentation skills which will further the goal of creating confident speakers.
About the Speakers
Erin Patti
Erin began pursuing a career in the financial services industry in 2008 because she had a passion for helping others simplify their lives. She dedicated her college education to literature, writing and public speaking. She originally started teaching but soon realized the classroom was not the right venue for her.
Erin joined Raymond James as one of an elite few candidates, in the Financial Planning Residency Program located at their Headquarters in St. Petersburg, Florida. Erin returned to Illinois to join the Doepel Retirement Planning Group as a Financial Advisor. She firmly believes in a comprehensive financial planning approach that is tailored to her clients’ unique personal and financial priorities.
Keith Kelly
Keith has over 30 years experience in media production, including 20 years with his own company, Innovative Communications. His diverse background includes experience as a professional actor, musician, artist, on-air radio talent and movie critic. Keith formed Innovative Communications in 1990 and partners with clients to produce creative, dynamic informational and marketing videos for companies in an effort to improve sales through compelling, entertaining and informative messages.
Keith is a two-term past-president of the Illinois Videographers Association, an international award winner for his videos. Keith also has a bachelor’s in broadcast production.
