Special Legislative Committee Luncheon with Chief Deputy Whip Peter Roskam
. Please Note --> This is a Past Event!! .

7/13/2012

11:30 AM TO 1:00 PM

The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce’s Legislative Committee invites all Members and the community to join the Chamber on Friday, July 13 for a special luncheon with Chief Deputy Whip Peter Roskam (R-Wheaton).

Part of the Chamber’s mission is to provide Members with opportunities to interact with the elected officials that represent them and provide a forum for mutual education between the business community and officials.

The July special legislative luncheon with Rep. Roskam is special opportunity for Members to hear from one of the highest ranking members of leadership in the House of Representatives. In addition to his position as chief deputy whip, Roskam serves on the influential Ways & Means Committee, the panel tasked with producing tax reform.

“In just a few months Congress will have to decide how they want to handle the fiscal cliff of expiring tax relief, spending cuts and entitlement reform,” said Tami Andrew, interim president and CEO. “We hope you will join the Chamber as we hear from one of Washington’s top leaders and thank him for his service to our region and nation.”

The Special Legislative Committee luncheon will be from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m., at Arrowhead Golf Club, 26W151 Butterfield Rd., Wheaton, IL 60187. (Map Link.) To offset meeting costs, the lunch is $15 per person and pre-registration is requested. You can register online by clicking here or by calling the Chamber at 630-355-4141.

Roskam represents the 6th congressional district, a seat he’s held since 2007. Previously Roskam served in the Illinois House of Representatives and the Illinois Senate. During his time in the General Assembly Roskam represented the Naperville area and served in numerous leadership positions in Springfield.
