YPN Professional Development Series: Election Special with Doug Krieger and Ray McGury

The Young Professionals of the Naperville Chamber invite all Members to attend the October Professional Development Series focused on the upcoming election and why young professionals need to be involved in the civic process, and mostly importantly vote! The meeting will take place on Friday, Oct. 19, from 7:30 – 9 a.m. in the Chamber’s Conference Room A, Suite 375 in the Main Street Promenade.

One of YPN’s goals is to foster the next generation of leadership in our community and that includes being knowledgeable, informed and active in local, state and national elections. Joining YPN to offer a non-partisan update on why it is important to be politically involved will be two local community leaders, Doug Krieger, city manager of the City of Naperville and Ray McGury, executive director of the Naperville Park District.

These two leaders are the top administrative officers of local governments that affect YP’s and their families every day. In addition to learning more about how to engage in the local democratic process, attendees will have a chance to get to better know two professionals who have reached the pinnacle of public service and achieved notable success professionally.

To start the morning and moderate discussion with Krieger and McGury, the Chamber’s advocacy expert, Patrick Skarr will offer introductory remarks providing attendees with overview of the polling and state of the race.

The discussion will take place from 7:30 – 9 a.m. at the Chamber office, Conference Room A located at 55 S. Main Street in Naperville. The event is open to YPN Members and nonmembers.

For more information, please contact staff liaison Brianna Belgio at bbelgio@naperville.net or 630-544-3377.

The Young Professionals of the Naperville Chamber (YPN) invite all Members to their next Professional Development Series Friday, Oct. 19.
