The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting two trips in 2013 to China and Tuscany. An informational meeting regarding itinerary, cost and other logistics for each trip listed below will be held on Thursday, March 28, from 5-7 p.m. in Conference Room A of the Chamber.
China: Oct. 9-Oct. 16
The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce is returning to China this fall, Oct. 9 through Oct. 16. China has become a major player in both the travel and business world. It’s a destination that many have dreamed about visiting but may not have had the opportunity. The Chamber is offering a trip that both serves as a great introduction to people who have never been, and as a return trip if you’ve been before.
We’ll be traveling to Beijing, the capital of China where you’ll be greeted by a local tour guide. Throughout your time in Beijing, you’ll visit Tian An Men Square and the Forbidden City. One of the highlights will be a dinner with local economic and commerce officials. You’ll also travel to Shanghai and then tour the ancient gardens and temples in Suzhou. From there, a short bus tour will take you to Hangzhou, where you’ll visit the Economic Development Zone and see an ancient 64.3 foot-high Buddha within the Lingyin Temple.
Much more awaits you during this eight-day journey, as well as the opportunity to feast on China’s world-famous cuisine. China is a ‘foodies’ paradise as well as a culturally enlightening experience and the Chamber has arranged for you to experience both. The trip is open to both Members and the community. Cost is $2599 for double occupancy and includes all airfare, hotel accommodations, meals and day trips.
