Deborah Chambers-Chima

Bio

Deborah Chambers Chima is the President of Chambers Consulting Group, Ltd., a company that assists organizations with creating an environment where cohesiveness and collaboration are the catalysts for achieving greater business results. She specializes in improving organizational productivity through team building, leadership development, and customer service. She is a consultant, professional speaker, and executive coach.

Deborah has coauthored a book, “Choose to Lead: Advice, Tools, and Strategies for Women from Women.” She also writes a bi-monthly column for the Business Ledger where she provides insight on the need for organizations to embrace and utilize the skills of all employees to obtain the goal of high performance.

Before establishing her firm, Ms. Chima spent 24 years in the retail industry with the last 21 years at McDonald’s Corporation, where she held various corporate management positions in international and domestic markets. Her solid base of experience and unique set of skills in Operations, Training and Development, Management, Sales and Customer Service are demonstrated in her track record of achieving award winning results. Deborah holds professional memberships in the American Society of Training & Development (ASTD), National Speakers Association (NSA), National Association of Female Executives (NAFE), as well as the International Coach Federation (ICF).

Deborah is currently working on her coach certification through the Coachville School of Corporate Coaching.  Deborah is a member of the Board of Directors for the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO- Chicago) and serves on the Women in Business Steering Committee with the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce. An authorized distributor of Inscape Publishing’s DiSC® assessments, she is passionate about helping people ignite the path that will achieve their personal and professional goals.

Ms. Chima received recognition in 2003 from Manchester Who’s Who Among Executives and Professional Women for her achievements. Deborah has served on the Board of Managers for the Martin Luther King Boy’s & Girls Club She volunteers with Big Brothers/ Big Sisters of America, and the Warrenville Illinois Youth Center. Ms. Chima earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Illinois in Champaign, Urbana.
