Kraft Foods’ Naperville Plant Celebrates 41st Anniversary

On Thursday, July 2nd, Kraft Foods held a 41st Anniversary celebration at their Naperville site led by Rodney Mosley, General Manager of Kraft Foods.

“Naperville has been fortunate to have Kraft provide hundreds of quality jobs in our community for the past four decades,” said Chamber President & CEO, John Schmitt. “The plant has been a quiet, but outstanding member of our community, and the Chamber is proud to have had them as a Member for the past 41 years and looks forward to celebrating their 80th anniversary!”

Kraft Foods employs over 200 individuals at the Naperville site and supplies all Triscuit products for North America. Other corporate brands include Oscar Mayer, Philadelphia, Maxwell House, Nabisco and Oreo. Kraft operates in over 70 countries worldwide with approximately 180 manufacturing and processing facilities, 11 research and development centers, and sales in 150 countries.


Chamber Members Belgio’s Catering and M&M, The Special Events Company supported the event. Kraft Foods is a long-time sponsor of the Chamber and a Member for over forty years. Currently, Kraft Foods is sponsoring many Chamber events including the new leadership development program kicking off this fall.

Kraft welcomed more than 500 employees, retirees and their families to the event on July 2nd. Attendees enjoyed food, games for the kids, face painting and a car show featuring vehicles from 1968 when the Naperville plant opened.

Joining the employees to help mark the occasion were Congresswoman Judy Biggert (IL -13), Naperville Mayor A. George Pradel, City Manager Doug Krieger, Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce President & CEO, John Scmitt, Board Chair, Annmarie Siwik of DiGiovine Hnilo Jordan + Johnson, and Don Emery, President of Profit Link, Inc. and Chamber Board Consultant.
