On May 23 -25, 20007 a
delegation of our region's business leader's visited
our nation's capital for the U.S. Chamber’s premier small
business summit, ACCESS 2007. The Naperville Area
Chamber of Commerce has been a proud participant
with the ACCESS summit, the trip is a cornerstone
of our legislative agenda.

Our
agenda was
packed full with meetings with our
elected officials on their turf, take advantage of
the U.S. Chamber’s first class breakout sessions and
hear from some of the nation’s top political
leaders.
A key highlight to the trip was
during the U.S. Chamber's Small Business of the Year
Awards Gala to hear that Bill and Karen Garlough
were named the Small Business of the year.
Thanks to the generosity of Comcast we are able to offer
the event at a a minimal cost to our Members.
----------------------Background
information-----------------------
The Chamber's participation in ACCESS 2006 was a resounding
success. Last year's visit, which coincided with
"Health Week" in the Senate Chamber gave Members an
opportunity to witness policymaking first hand. "We
witnessed politics at its worst and at its best," said
Dave Martin of Russell Martin Carpets & Rug. Visit our
ACCESS 2006 highlights
page for a review of what we accomplished on last year's
trip.
By now you've heard of the success our trip to Springfield in
February, click here
to view the photo gallery. Our trip in May to D.C.
is just as focused, we're planning an aggressive agenda to
make the most of your time.
Fellow Members will be honored as some of the nation's best small
businesses at the Small Business of the Year gala on
Thursday evening. We hope you can join us and show your
support for one of Naperville's best.
Comcast has generously stepped up to the plate and offered
to be one of the trip's premier sponsors. If you
would like to contribute to the trip, either with your
time, talent, or resources please email
