2007 Destination Springfield Photo Gallery.
Dear Friends,
I am proud to report that this year's annual trip to our
capital, Destination Springfield, was an excellent success.
We had over 50 Members take time out of their work week to
spend time in Springfield.
It makes quite a statement that
our community and our business leaders are committed to
being leaders on legislative issues. We heard that the
95th General Assembly will tackle a number of pressing
issues, and that we'll need everyone's continued support and
engagement. The 95th General Assembly will be one of
the most interesting, and potentially harmful, in recent
memory. Stay active and engaged.
I would also be remiss if I did not
encourage you to visit our ACCESS
2007 page for information on our trip to Washington D.C.
in May of this year for the US
Chamber's premier small business summit.
We also have created an
online photo gallery of some of the great photographs
that Jeffrey Ross took during our trip. I'd encourage
everyone to take a moment and see just what this annual
advocacy trip is about.
When I look back and think
about our Springfield day roots and what we accomplished
this year, it has been quite a journey. I am honored
to have been on this great team of Members who have made our
Chamber's government affairs operations, one of, if not the,
best in Illinois. Next year let's hope to have a
hundred business people with us!
Sincerely,

Mike Skarr
