2007 Urban
Mobility Study Released
The Texas Transportation
Institute at the Texas A&M University System
released their annual update of national congestion
trends recently. The news
for Chicago is not good.
Since 48% of daily travel
occurs in congested conditions, we rank as
having the third worst travel delay in the nation.
In aggregate our region wasted 202,835,000 hours
in travel delays, 141,612,000 gallons of gasoline
at a cost of $3.968 billion.
