Residents may register to vote at the City Clerk’s office in the Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle St., between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. You must be a United States citizen, age 18 by the date of the next election and have resided in the precinct at least 30 days by the date of the next election. You will also need to provide two pieces of identification, at least one of which must show your current address. Naturalized citizens will need to provide the court, date and city of your naturalization. Residents who move within the county and hold a current registration card can change their registration by mail.

By registering, residents are eligible to vote in local, national, state, county, township, and park and school district elections. State law prohibits the acceptance of new registrations and changes of address in the 28-day period before an election or for two days after an election. Registration reopens two days after an election.

Questions concerning voter registration or elections may be directed to the City Clerk’s office at (630)305-5300. For additional information, call the DuPage County Board of Elections, at (630)682-7440 or the Will County Clerk’s Office, at (815)740-4620.
