An effective Political
Action Committee (or PAC) is a natural complement to a
successful business advocacy program. The purpose of the
PAC is to ensure that the Chamber participates in the
political process, offering support to the campaigns of
those candidates who share a business orientation and
commitment to the economic growth and prosperity of the
greater Naperville region. The PAC links Chamber Members to
candidates and elected officials through appropriate,
documented political channels. In essence, the PAC is a
vehicle for Chamber Members to join with other
like-minded businesses and provide leadership for the
Naperville area business community to achieve desired
political action.
We are “the
Business Voice,” advocating the business community’s
concerns and stressing changes in laws and policies that
affect our Members’ businesses. The Naperville Area
Chamber Political Action Committee (NACPAC) is a
proactive tool that can be used build a local, regional,
and state delegation filled with individuals who will
take the time to call us before making a policy
decision. The Chamber’s Legislative
Committee began exploring the possibility of starting a
Political Action Committee after analyzing the voting
records of elected officials.
NACPAC is totally
independent, autonomous not-for-profit corporation that
is not affiliated in any way with any political party.
The purpose of NACPAC is to enhance the economic
vitality and quality of life in the greater Naperville
region by carrying on political activities in order to
influence the selection, nomination, election or
appointment of individuals who reflect the opinions and
positions of the Naperville area business community. It
will achieve this goal by initiating and encouraging
grass roots lobbying on local, regional and state
legislation that reflects the opinions and positions of
the Naperville area business community. |
