Sr. Sales & Marketing Specialist at Villa St. Benedict
In 2010, Judi Strong began working at Villa St. Benedict, an independent and assisted living community located in Lisle. She became interested in the senior living industry years earlier, when her father’s role as caregiver to her mom with Alzheimer’s became too much for him. Not having a clue as to what the next step would be, she started her investigation and discovered how important the role of a sales consultant was to families in her same position.
“It was a very hard time. Knowing what I had to go through personally, I knew I could help others.”
Three years after helping her parents move, Judi landed her first sales job in the senior industry at The Devonshire of Lisle, now known as Brookdale Plaza. Her next position was as a PR Specialist at Villa St. Benedict. Being a faith-based community, she shared an office with one of the Sisters who worked with families looking for assisted living. When the Sister passed away unexpectedly, Judi asked to cover both positions.
“I see sales as pointing people in the right direction. I’ve never been an in-your-face salesperson.”
The transition for Judi was very natural, since she and Sister Joanne had a close working relationship and had daily discussions regarding families’ needs. Her community liaison role increased Villa St. Benedict’s image as a faith-based campus for anyone looking to live where day-to-day decisions are made using core values as a guide, not a bottom line mentality. With all of her background, she could utilize her sales approach as a search for solutions. She understands that her offering is not going to be the perfect fit for every senior.

Judi has been in sales and marketing for the majority of her career path, but each job was radically different. To name just a few, she has sold insurance, advertising, tropical plantscapes to businesses, and cosmetics. Her journey allowed for her to refine her approach and determine the most satisfying position. She has found personal and professional fulfillment at Villa St. Benedict and encourages readers to pursue whatever fulfills them!
