David Miller, a native to Naperville, began his career in Hospitality in 1995 with the opening of Chef By Request catering. His full service culinary and event planning company has now served Naperville and the surrounding Chicagoland area for more than 25 years with exquisite events and off-premise catering services.
For the first 18 years, David led his culinary team to excellence, winning the 2004 American Culinary Federation’s President’s Award, in 2011 winning the Naperville small business of the year award, a winning episode of TLC channels 4 weddings in 2012, and in 2013 was inducted into the Les Amis d’ Escoffier Society as a lifetime member.
David continues to expand Chef By Request as a leader in off-premise catering and event planning services. Still today, the company’s goal focus on new trends, community partnerships, and unprecedented attention to detail.
In 2017 David’s passion for success led him on another Hospitality quest when he opened the first-ever downtown Naperville riverfront events venue, Elements at Water Street. Located on the 2nd floor of Hotel Indigo Naperville Riverwalk, Elements is an organic contemporary masterpiece of event space for all occasions. Boasting 5-star reviews across the board for their impeccable culinary team and service accolades.
Most recently David’s focus has been directed towards new relationships and development opportunities. He is currently serving his 2nd term on the Board of Directors for the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce, President’s Circle Member for North Central College, and Hospitality advisory board for College of Du Page.
