President

Christine Jeffries has been President of the Naperville Development Partnership (NDP) since 1997.  The NDP is a public/ private economic development organization that fosters economic growth in the City of Naperville.  In 1999, the NDP also assumed the leadership of the Naperville Convention & Visitors Bureau and in 2005 organized the Dine Naperville restaurant marketing program.

Since 1997, the NDP has been responsible for millions of the square feet of new construction, large-scale absorption of existing commercial space and has participated in the crafting of planning and redevelopment guides for retail corridors and the downtown area of the city.  The work of the NDP has resulted in thousands of new jobs and an exceptional vibrancy in the business districts throughout the City of Naperville.  The NDP worked hand in hand with the City of Naperville to create the Transportation, Engineering and Development (TED) business unit; awarded for its innovative approach to municipal community development.

Prior to serving as President of the NDP, Christine worked as Director of Economic Development for the City of Geneva and before that in the south and southwest suburbs for regional economic development organizations.  Jeffries has been named the Distinguished Economic Developer of the Year, named to the Most Influential Women in DuPage County and served as the President of the Illinois Development Council.  Jeffries has served on both the Governor’s and the Illinois Tollway Authority transition teams representing the economic development industry.

Christine graduated from Loyola University in Chicago with a BA in Public Administration.  She and her husband Bill have one daughter Jamie.
