Adam Russo is the Executive Director of Lifestance Health. Adam is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Illinois and is also certified as an Advanced Child, Youth, and Family Social Worker through the National Association of Social Workers. Adam has been providing services to children, adolescents, and their families since 1998. He received his Masters Degree in Social Work from Smith College School of Social Work in Northampton, MA. Adam formerly served as an administrator at local residential facilities for adolescents.
Adam has extensive experience working with children and families in outpatient and residential settings. He is skilled at connecting with young people in individual sessions, encouraging them to take an active role in their own treatment.
He has worked with youth facing many difficulties, including mood instability, acting out behaviors, adjustment disorders, family conflict, and symptoms of post-traumatic stress, legal issues and social withdrawal.
Adam has extensive training and knowledge in the area of family therapy and he uses this mode of treatment to benefit not only the child but the extended family as well.
Adam also has experience in working with children and adolescents who have been identified as having learning, developmental, or cognitive delays. Adam will work with families to create and implement behavior modification plans that will result in improved behavioral control. He is also experienced in assisting families to link with and navigate public systems that provide assistance to these children.
