A is for “Area”

The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce added the “A” in ‘NACC’ because the Chamber extends into the greater community within Naperville city limits and the surrounding areas.  Did you know; about a third of NACC Members have business zip codes outside of Naperville?  The result of farther-reaching Membership is a more community-impactful Chamber, which can serve as a resource and advocate for its Members.

The community impact that Members have through the Chamber is significant.  Starting October 6, 2022, Leadership Naperville! will meet onsite at various locations across the area for a 6-week professional development series, unlike any other. Participation in this program serves to develop participants’ knowledge and skills, encourage working together, demonstrate ways to make a meaningful impact, and create an immediate common group to address the community’s challenges and opportunities. In the month of November, the NACC is highlighting our 108 Not-for-Profit Members for a month of “NFP Awareness.” By bringing attention to these community-serving businesses, the Chamber hopes to highlight them and their work with a special recognition about how they improve the Naperville Area and those living here.  Likewise, in April, the NACC Corporate Social Responsibility Committee and Giving DuPage host the annual Volunteer Week and will do so again in 2023. Within this event, Not-for-Profit Members are encouraged to list volunteer opportunities that Members can sign up for.  This results in bridging connections between corporations, small businesses, not-for-profits, and the individuals inside our businesses.  NACC Members come together to serve their fellow Members, and in turn, the greater community.  By highlighting our Not-for-Profits, the NACC hopes to draw attention to the varied ways these businesses can continue to elevate the community and build camaraderie, goodwill, and commerce in Naperville and beyond.

To show support for the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce businesses in the community, it is encouraged to keep all Chamber businesses in mind when doing shopping.  It is easy to “Shop Chamber” by visiting our online Business Directory. There you can find the right resources to secure everything needed for a delightful dinner, gift, or experience.  And all this while making the biggest impact on this community we call ‘home.’
