Joining the NACC is not only a show of support for the local business community – it’s a strategic move for your own business. Whether you’re a new business looking for exposure or an established business seeking growth, the NACC offers tools and resources to help deepen connections with potential clients.
In 2025, I will be investigating different ways that some of our most successful Members have used the Chamber to grow their business. NACC Pathways was born from a recent conversation with a Member about evaluating the two most effective ways to benefit from the Chamber. While every approach isn’t one size fits all, leveraging both face-to-face relationship building and marketing resources is a great place to test the possibilities of your NACC Membership.
Face-to-Face Relationship Building
In a digital age, face-to-face connections still hold immense value in the Chamber world. When you find common ground with business owners, you build trust faster than you would through digital marketing and advertising. There have also been many instances of partnerships that wouldn’t have otherwise happened if it weren’t for a casual conversation at a Chamber Event. To utilize this unique platform to meet potential clients, collaborators and mentors, check out our Chamber Calendar and register for some upcoming events.
Marketing Resources to Boost Visibility.
NACC Members are offered exclusive promotional tools that significantly raise awareness for your business. As a go-to resource for people looking for trusted local businesses, your listing in our Active Member Directory holds weight. Make sure you’re updating yours so potential clients or customers know how to find you. Member News, the Community Calendar and Special Offers & Discounts are also great places to keep your business top of mind by using your NACC benefits. Anytime you are promoting something your business is doing, consider where that can be shared on naperville.net.
Is the NACC part of your marketing budget? Consider allocating resources to sponsoring one of our events or additional advertising opportunities.
Honorable Mentions for Leveraging the Chamber:
- Make the NACC a part of your employee benefits: Encourage your employees to attend NACC events or consider professional development to improve your employee retention
- Ask about Advocacy: the NACC has a Government Affairs Director on staff that can walk you through anything state, local and federal that may be affecting your industry.
A Membership with the NACC is what you make of it. When you show up, get involved and take advantage of the resources available to you, your business grows.
If you have any questions or concerns about your Chamber experience, I’m always happy to workshop ideas on the best ways your business can be using the NACC.
