As a business owner, the safety and well-being of your employees and customers should always be a top priority. Unfortunately, emergencies can happen at any time, and it is crucial to be prepared. The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce (NACC) wants to be Your Resource to help ensure everyone in your business feels comfortable and confident in responding to an emergency situation.
Thanks to great partnerships, NACC is bringing two important pieces of training directly to you:
Workplace Safety and Prevention
The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce teams up with the Naperville Police Department, with support from Edward-Elmhurst Health to bring you our Spring General Membership Luncheon on Tuesday, May 23rd from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
Workplace safety and prevention require awareness and preparedness. Whether it’s theft, robbery, burglary, or an active threat situation where an individual(s) presents an immediate threat or imminent danger to people by displaying a weapon, having made threats, and/or showing intent to cause harm or perform violence, knowledge is power in responding.
Understand the real threats to your business and learn how to protect yourself as our experts walk you through strategies for workplace safety and active threat prevention. Join us as Naperville Police Chief Jason Arres and members of his department lead this training. The program is open to all NACC members and is an excellent opportunity for businesses to develop a plan for keeping their employees safe.
CPR/AED and Stop the Bleed
The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce, together with the Naperville Fire Department and the Naperville Park District created Community Responders: CPR/AED and Stop the Bleed, a half-day CPR/AED and First Aid program on Thursday, June 22nd, to teach residents and healthcare providers how to effectively deliver first aid and CPR and correctly use an AED according to current American Heart Association guidelines. Students will also learn about first aid, bleeding control, and mental health awareness.
Knowing CPR can make a significant difference in the outcome of a medical emergency, and this program is an excellent opportunity for businesses to ensure their employees are prepared to respond to such situations.
NACC is grateful to our partners for bringing these programs to you. As your resource, we intend to continue bringing quality and impactful programs directly to our members. If you have any other ideas for future training, please let us know at chamber@naperville.net
