Whether you are opening your doors for the first time, relocating, expanding, renovating, or celebrating your new Chamber Membership, a Ribbon Cutting helps mark the occasion in a memorable and professional way.
These events are promoted through Chamber communication channels, including the Chamber calendar, email, social media, and community outreach, helping attract support and attendance from across the local business community. It’s also a great opportunity to build new relationships, invite clients and partners, and showcase what makes your business unique.
Ribbon Cuttings are typically scheduled on Wednesdays or Thursdays from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Once your date is confirmed, Chamber staff works with local officials, Chamber leadership, or other dignitaries to help officiate the ceremony. Chamber staff will also assist with event setup, photo coordination, and provide the official oversized scissors and ribbon for the ceremony.
After the ribbon is cut, there is time for brief remarks, networking, business tours, and celebration—often with refreshments and conversation that help create lasting connections. Following the event, photos are shared through Chamber social media to further highlight your business.
