Connecting Naperville to the National Economic Engine

Last month, I had the honor of joining chamber leaders from across the country in Louisville, Kentucky, at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Committee of 100 (CCC100) Fall Meeting — my first as a new member of this prestigious group.  This experience wasn’t just about making contacts; it was about solidifying our Chamber’s role as your direct pipeline to federal policy and economic insight.

The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to be an independent chamber that is also a member of both the Illinois Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. That means your Chamber is connected locally, statewide, and nationally — and that connection matters when it comes to influence, resources, and results.

National Access: Insights from the Committee of 100

Being in a room with leaders from across the country was a powerful reminder of just how connected the chamber world is. What happens nationally — in Washington and beyond — directly influences what happens here at home.

One of my biggest takeaways is that this experience expands not just my network, but ours as a Chamber. The connections built at CCC100 lead to new opportunities, fresh advocacy ideas, and practical insights that I’m bringing back to Naperville.

And most importantly, everything I learn — and everyone I meet — is meant to benefit you. Whether it’s ideas to help your business grow or advocacy that elevates our community’s voice, my role is to make sure Naperville is represented in every room where decisions are being made.

Local Action: Naperville’s Voice in Washington

The key insight from the CCC100 is that national advocacy only works when grounded in local realities. This is why we are taking our message directly to Capitol Hill.

NACC in Washington, D.C. – October 22–24

We will be carrying Naperville’s business priorities directly to decision-makers, advocating for policies that enable growth, streamline regulation, and strengthen our local economy.
