NACC will be hosting a complimentary webinar with Kevin Courtois, U.S. Chamber of Commerce Congressional and Public Affairs Executive Director, Great Lakes Region. Kevin will be providing NACC members with up-to-date information about the recently passed $2 trillion federal CARES ACT and other federal resources available to help our businesses and not-for-profits both keep their doors open and employees on their payroll. Governor Pritzker Extends Executive Order to the End of April
Not unexpected, Governor Pritzker announced today during his daily press conference that his executive stay-at-home order has been extended through the end of April.
Expanded Unemployment Benefits Through the CARES Act
Another aspect of the CARES Act is the expansion of the unemployment benefit to workers who have been laid off. Eligible workers will get an extra $600 per week on top of state unemployment benefits to cover lost wages.
Part-time, self-employed, and gig-economy workers are newly eligible for benefits.
