Joseph Dant
President, South Region, NorthShore
Joseph Dant assumed the role of President of the South Region for NorthShore – Edward-Elmhurst Health (NS-EEH) on January 1, 2023. He is responsible for working with members of the NS-EEH Executive Leadership Team to help drive EEH, South Region, and system strategies.
Joe was most recently President of Edward Hospital & South Institutes following the merger of NorthShore and Edward-Elmhurst Health, a position in which he was the operational leader to ensure clinical, quality, experience, and administrative services met the healthcare needs of patients and the community.
Previously, Joe served as President of Edward Hospital (2019-2021) and Executive Vice President, Physician & Ambulatory Network for EEH (2017-2019).
Prior to joining EEH in 2017, Joe was the System Vice President, Strategic Planning & Business Development for Northwestern Memorial Healthcare and the System Vice President, Operations at Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital. From 2003-2015, Joe served in a variety of roles at Kish Health System in DeKalb, including Vice President, Business Development, and President, Health Progress, Inc.
Joe served as a United States Naval Officer from 1987-1991. He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Benedictine University.
