The Power of Local: Nurturing a Young Professional’s Pipeline

At the NACC, we take pride in the community that we cultivate. Every day, we have the honor of observing each unique contribution of our Members to community identity, economic vitality, and social cohesion of the area we live and work in. Over time, we have realized the importance of cultivating the next generation of leaders as part of succession plans which is why the NACC continues to support and celebrate the young professionals who will transform our community.

I had the honor of sitting on a panel to interview our 2024 Four Under 40 recipients which only solidified how impactful I believe our young professionals have been and will continue to be. To our recipients, congratulations and thank you for finding the Naperville area a suitable place to nurture your ideas and expertise.

Join us on Wednesday, June 26th from 4:30pm to 6:30pm to honor Leslie Kane, Atusa Freyer, Daveyon Bradley and Lauren Bierschenk at our annual Four Under 40 Achievement Awards.

Another exciting development in the NACC is awarding five student Memberships to the winners of the Naperville Community Unit School District 203’s Business INCubator program. These young professionals are students who believe in their business and have inspired us all at the NACC. We are so excited to see what they can contribute to our Chamber community.  Please join me in welcoming our five student businesses to the NACC:

  • Safeguard Scrunchie Co.
  • Silent Sneaks
  • OnaBox
  • CoachConnect
  • SHOEperheroes

And finally, if you are a young professional who’s not sure how they can contribute to the NACC, please reach out to me, Maddie Smith, at msmith@naperville.net. We are always looking for fresh thought leaders who will continue to cultivate our community for years to come.
