Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce Wins Outstanding Chamber of the Year Award

Presented at the Illinois Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (IACCE) Annual Celebration & Awards Dinner

The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce (NACC) was presented with two awards at the Illinois Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (IACCE) Annual Celebration & Awards Dinner Thursday, November 3, 2022. The NACC was presented with the Outstanding Chamber of the Year Award for Chambers with more than 600 Members and the IACCE Certified Chamber of Commerce designation.

The IACCE Outstanding Chamber of the Year Award recognizes organization excellence in chambers of commerce and provides a unique benchmarking opportunity to assess a chamber’s strengths. The award is based on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s accreditation process for local chambers and highlights accomplishments in the areas of leadership, governance, finance, advocacy, and membership development.

“This award is a tribute to our Members. I often say the NACC wants to be a part of a business’s success story – and it is great to be able to demonstrate our ability to lead and succeed so that our Members trust us to take part on their journey,” said Kaylin Risvold, President and CEO of the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce. “The 133-page application our staff submitted was a true spotlight of our incredible work that always puts our Members first. It’s an honor to be recognized by other chambers across the state of Illinois for what our 13 staff, our Board, and our Members do each day to move Business Forward for the business community.”

The NACC was also recognized for receiving a 5-star accreditation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce earlier in 2022 – a process that takes 6-9 months to compile data and information for submission and it is a designation only 3% of Chambers earn across the U.S.

“The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce’s submission showcased their incredible work supporting their Members. The NACC exemplifies what a high-functioning chamber needs to be,” said Wendy Pfeil, IACCE Board Member and Chair of the Awards Committee and President and CEO of the Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce. “The Naperville Area Chamber is an example of what a Chamber can aspire to be.  One of the statements in their application that impressed the judges was that their chamber was founded on the belief that advocacy, networking, professional development, and marketing are not lone silos, but an open promise to us all. Naperville’s 5-star accreditation and their fiscal responsibility, combined with their program of work are remarkable.”
