Who’s in Your Circle?

Your voice matters—but so do the voices around you. So, who’s in your circle?

Leadership, growth, and impact don’t happen in isolation. We all need a circle—trusted people who challenge us, lift us up, ask the tough questions, and remind us who we are when the noise gets loud.

Maybe it’s a mentor, a colleague, a coach, or a longtime friend who sees the full picture. Maybe it’s your team, your board, your community. If you already have that circle—lean into it. Use it. Appreciate it. And be that voice for someone else.

If you don’t have a circle right now, this is your invitation to build one. You deserve it. And honestly, you need it. No one is meant to figure it all out alone.

If you haven’t paused lately to think about who’s in your circle, take a moment. Who helps you grow? Who gives you space to be honest, even when things are messy? Who reminds you of your why?

I’m incredibly grateful for mine—those in my day-to-day and those who offer perspective from the outside. They make me a better leader and a better human.

At the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce, we believe in the power of connection. If you’re still building your circle, we’re here to help. That’s why we created Legacy Circle—a space for experienced professionals to connect, learn, and support one another.

Because success isn’t just about what you do—it’s about who’s in your corner. So… who’s in your circle?
