Driving Innovation with Feedback

At the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce, we take feedback seriously and understand that the information we collect can be used as a tool to be an innovator in business support. In a 2024 poll, the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) found that 90% of U.S. adults feel that their local chamber has an impact on growing the local economy, 81% trust them as business partners and 88% believe they address community challenges*. With that in mind, feedback is not just data collection, but a mechanism for credibility and impact.

Why Your Feedback Matters

Our main focus when collecting feedback is to find gaps in our benefits and the resources we provide. When priorities are uncovered, we can create benefits and programs that don’t just reflect what we assume business owners might need to know, they reflect the priorities of our business community.  As this process works, anyone could visit naperville.net, scroll through the resources we provide or the events we’re hosting and understand the needs of our Members. This adds creative variety, but more importantly, provides our Members with the timely resources they need.

How to Provide the NACC with Feedback

As a Member of the NACC community, we want your priorities to be reflected in our programming and benefits. There are several ways to let us know what you think:

  • Surveys: Complete our Member Satisfaction Survey here
  • Event Surveys: We’re always collecting feedback after events. Look out for printed surveys during events you attend or in a follow-up email afterwards
  • Email Us: Email membership@naperville.net for any questions regarding your Membership or let us know about any gaps you’ve found in your benefits. We’re always happy to guide you through different pathways for success in the NACC.

The power of feedback as a tool to lead applies to the NACC but could apply to your own business too. Reach out to customers who continue to come back to you to find out what’s working so well for them but also reach out to customers who only came once to find out where your gaps are. The most important thing to remember is that people who provide feedback care about your business. 1 star ratings can be just as pivotal as a 5 star rating if you use it as a catalyst for change in your business.

If you have any questions or would like to contribute feedback, please reach out to me, Maddie Smith, or fill out our survey here.
