A is for “Area”

The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce added the “A” in ‘NACC’ because the Chamber extends into the greater community, not only within Naperville city limits but the surrounding areas as well.  Did you know; that about a third of NACC Members have business zip codes outside of Naperville?  This is a beautiful statistic, as it demonstrates the Members’ ability to build a strong community, a strong area, in which to reside. The result of farther-reaching Membership is a more community-impactful Chamber, which is able to serve as a resource and advocate for its Members.

The community impact that Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce Members can have through the Chamber is significant. Coming up next month, for example, the NACC highlights our 109 Not-for-Profit Members for a month of “NFP Awareness.” By bringing attention to these community-serving businesses, the Chamber hopes to spotlight them and their achievements with special recognition toward how they make the Naperville Area – and those engaging here – better.

Likewise, come April, the NACC, along with Giving DuPage, orchestrates the annual Volunteer Week. During this week, Not-for-Profit Members are encouraged to list volunteer opportunities, for which Members have the opportunity to sign up.  This results in bridging connections between corporations, small businesses, not-for-profits, and every business in between as the NACC Members band together to serve their fellow Members, and in turn, the greater community.  By highlighting our Not-for-Profits, the NACC hopes to draw attention to the various ways these businesses can continue to elevate the community and build camaraderie, goodwill, and commerce in Naperville and beyond.

To show support for the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce businesses beyond our Not-for-Profit Members, it is encouraged to keep all Chamber businesses in mind as consumers.  This time of year, it is easy to shop the Chamber by referring to our online Business Directory. There, one might find the right resources to secure everything needed for a delightful dinner, gift, or experience.  And all this while making the biggest impact on this community called ‘Home.’
