Spring 2025 Student Network Mentorship Program
As a mentor, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the future by inspiring the next generation of business leaders, give back to the community, and gain fresh perspectives from eager and innovative students. It’s a chance to showcase your leadership, build meaningful connections, and position your organization as a champion of talent and community development—all while leaving a lasting impact.
Your Expertise
We are currently looking for mentors in the following areas:
- Business
- STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)
- Medicine and Health
- Social Sciences and Humanities
- Leadership and Philanthropy
Your Commitment
The commitment will span three months, from February to the end of April. There will be two one-hour meetings each month.
Applications are due by the end of the day on January 2, 2025.
Connecting students to our thriving business community
High school and college students have the chance to work with NACC Staff to form relationships with Member businesses, as well as further develop their skills in leadership while taking an active role in our advisory board. Each network works alongside their educational institution and Chamber leaders to uncover ways to best supplement initiatives or organized efforts already active inside their school.
Our Networks also serve to better equip students for the business world. Chamber staff utilizes their expertise, as well as deep connections inside the business community to assist students in several key areas:
- Job Shadowing
- Mentoring
- Resume Building
- Interview Preparation
- Leadership development
- Marketing & Communication Skills
- Education through Access to Select NACC Member Events
- Other Business-Minded Topics (at the request of the advisory board members)
Mentoring future leaders & business professionals
High School Network
Establishing a foundation of leadership early to take into higher education, while also developing confidence inside the business community through valuable life-long connections.
College Network
Instituting a connection between student colleges and universities that fosters mentorship between the Chamber of Commerce and our business community. Through this partnership, long-lasting leadership and professional opportunities will develop for students that will allow them to build and sustain a community-driven future.
Meeting Times
Student Networks will meet once a month via Microsoft TEAMS.
The High School Network will meet the 1st Tuesday of the month from 4:00-5:00 pm starting September 1st.
The College Network will meet the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 4:00-5:00 pm starting September 15th.
